MATSUI SHUZO
Oldest sake brewery in Kyoto-shi
Founded in 1726

Established in 1726, about to welcome their 300th anniversary. They are the oldest sake brewery in Kyoto-shi. And they brew sacred sake for different temples.

Their brewery is located on the banks of the Kamogawa River, they decided to name it "Kamogawa Brewery."

This micro-brewery operates most of year. The brewer takes care of each key process such as steaming rice, making koji and bottling. As a result, the handmade sake is an extension of the brewer himself.

Their production is small and although they use a traditional process, they spend the time and effort required to make an elegant and delicate sake.
