Natsu no Otozure, "the arrival of summer", is Ohmine Shuzo's once-a-year warm-weather release: an undiluted junmai from Yamadanishiki polished to 50%. At about 13% it is deliberately lighter than the brewery's year-round bottlings, built for drinking cold on hot days.
The profile is bright and fruity, with Asian pear, green apple and melon and a crisp, refreshing finish. As an unpasteurized seasonal, keep it refrigerated, drink it soon after opening, and serve well chilled in a white wine glass.
